Review 14Aug2025 ( additional review) Today I’m just going to be bias and direct to review Johnny Prawn Noodles; Nested in the Yau Yat Khan Kopitiam is this particular stall that now I’ve come to term as “ the best prawn noodles in klang valley- Subang 2. Easily at every visit my ritual would be to order their large bowl of prawn noodles but must not forget to add on the stewed pig intestine which just blends so will with the prawn noodle soup. Without these add on it’s already bowl licking good but when add on this is just another whole level of taste bowl licking awesomeness!!. Dang what an answer to my cravings!! You decide and see if you agree with me!!!! 2022 Today my food angel was sitting on my shoulder looking after me there are tons of food bloggers writing up on the best prawn noodles in town ( specifically Har Mee stalls). In my own opinion only but I sure like to share with you foodies out there. It’s quite a hunt as it’s lay hidden in shop lots way at the back and you need to Waze for the restaurant name Yau Yat Khan...Subang 2. This place is one of my favorite, not only fit the tasty prawn soup but more for the “on slaughter of flooding sensation” in your mouth with every scoop. Made in heaven when the combination of “add on” are pile onto your already over flowing bowl of noodles. The choices of course include spareribs, intestines ( big and small ) only if you are lucky. Take it with an open mind as these add on are not your typical kangkong, small prawns, pork slices and bean sprouts. Give it a try and share if you enjoyed the place

4 Stars - For the Restaurant The staff were efficient — they asked what type of water I wanted as soon as I sat down, and the service was really fast. The restaurant was clean as well. The only downside was that it felt a bit hot inside. 5 Stars - For the Vietnamese Food Stall Absolutely delicious! Their 金边越南粉 are packed with ingredients — chicken, minced pork, shrimp, and vegetables — and it's only RM9. Can you believe that? So worth the price. This stall has been selling Vietnamese food for many years, and I’ve been a loyal customer for just as long. Their pork chop is also very unique and tasty. The sellers are super friendly too. Even when they’re closed, they always put up a sign with their reopening date. It’s cheap, delicious, and always my number one Vietnamese food spot. So far, I’ve never seen anything unhygienic from them. 4 Stars - For the Chinese Food Stall I usually go for their zhajiang noodles if the Vietnamese stall is closed. The price is reasonable, and the taste is great. The only issue is that I once saw a staff member handle shredded ginger with bare hands while preparing the sauce. However, that staff member doesn’t seem to be there anymore. 4 Stars - For the 油条You Tiao Crispy outside, soft and fluffy inside — absolutely delicious. This is my go-to place for youtiao. I haven’t found any others that taste better. I’m giving 4 stars because I’m unsure about their hygiene practices, so I’ll hold back one star for now. As for the price, my family thinks it’s slightly on the higher side — RM1.50 for a not-so-large piece. But I guess it depends on personal preference. 4 Stars - For the Prawn Noodle Stall The broth is rich and flavorful, with a perfect mix of pork, crab, and shrimp. I had the rice vermicelli version, and it soaked up all the delicious soup — so tasty! I’m taking off one star because the price is quite high. Still, the ingredients are generous and of good quality.

There’s a famous prawn mee and loh mee but not hot or flavourful enough for me to revisit. Very expensive bowl as well, rm12 with no pork slices. Normally will cost rm18, overpriced.

Came to try Johnny's Prawn Mee but it was still closed at 8 AM, so I ordered other food. I ordered this Curry Siham Mee from a stall that I forgot the name (Sorry A cek ). Actually not that many siham, but other toppings like chicken and tahu were quite generous. The curry soup was also very flavorful, strong and rich. The atmosphere was like your typical chinese kopitiam.

Quite a descent kopitiam located near subang airport. Plenty of parking spaces and very spacious kopitiam. Lots of food choices and the price is affordable. The infamous prawn noodle is worth a try but unfortunately the day I went it wasn't open. You tiao and Chee cheong fun were tasted good. Pork noodles were nice as well. Overall good for small to big gatherings. Portion served is reasonable.

2025 Update: For the love of prawn mee! Prawn mee or "Hokkien Mee" in Penang is something that hard to get right. In Klang Valley alone there are many places to get prawn mee. However those that really satisfy me - therein lies the rub. I've started patronizing Johnny and his awesome prawn mee since Wang Leng days.. before Yau Yat Khan took over. He's still at the very same spot until this day. Still his jovial and sometimes unabashed comments - some might not like this but I'm there just for the food. Verdict - the broth was as good as I remember.. slightly sweet but not overly so, once the sambal paste was mixed into the soup the flavour would be further enhanced. Good till the last drop - evidently from my pic. Few medium sized prawns, half egg, Kangkung and bean sprouts were thrown in for a good measure. Pork ribs are extras but please order it... For me this is the best prawn noodle in town at the moment, at least until I find another place that can dethrone it. Old review: Even if this is not the best, it's one of the best in business Long before this restaurant was renamed Yau Yat Khan (又一间) - whether it was taken over by new operator or simply changed its name - it was called Wang Keng. I had come here for the famous Johnny's prawn noodle, or Hokkien mee to Penang folks. I had brought my sifu, who has a picky taste, along to try and his feedback was safe-to-say positive. He moved elsewhere for a brief period before moving back to Yau Yat Khan - and business is as usual for him. As for me, his location isn't exactly what I would say in my comfort zone. So one day when I had to pick up someone who lives in this area, I drove there an hour earlier to gorge on this Penang dish that I missed. Johnny was at his usual self - chatty and jovial - and I saw pictures of many celebrities proudly pasted in front of his stall. Placed my customized order and he jokingly said "Can.. whatever you want also can. I'm here to make $$$ only" ◾Prawn noodle - my bowl came sans the noodle but with more bean sprouts and kangkung. Prawns and pork slices were thrown in together with half egg. EXTRA PORK RIBS & INTESTINES (optional) is a must for me everytime. The soup was slightly sweet and definitely brimming with the flavour of prawn shells. Mix the given chilly paste into the soup, stir and eat away. The soup is good till the last drop!!!

For those who’s planning to come try their prawn mee, Johnny balik kampung on 19 to 23 December guys! 17 Dec 2023 : Drove 30 minutes to this kopitiam just to scratch my prawn mee itch. Tried something new today. Ordered the prawn mee with the loh mee soup. The loh mee thick broth cuts down the prawnyness. My dad likes it but mum and I don’t. 4 Dec 2023 : Syiokkkkkk! Finally some good prawn mee. Rm11 for small , rm23 for extra pork ribs and intestine. The soup is very flavourful, prawns are big. (compare to those served else where) The intestine is good, texture is good. They serve you with a smile and good attitude. 22 May 2024 - Wesak day (it’s open) the price increased. It’s rm12 now for small. But then again the small is a large if you eat else where
